I'm Bianca and I was born in a small town near Turin, at the foot of the Italian Alps. My family later moved to Genoa, by the sea. So I'd say my hometown is the northwest of Italy!
I study the economic and social history of the Southeast of Europe during the 20th century. I'm especially interested in a few companies that collaborated with the main architects of their time to build homes and cities for their workers.
I did my BA in Italy and my MA in Geneva, Switzerland. But my research takes me a bit everywhere in the archives around Europe.
I need to have some noise around me when I'm working: if it's writing time, you can probably find me in the Firestone tearoom, at the Coffee Club, or at the Murray-Dodge Café. Unless it's sunny and warm outside, then I'll sure be sitting somewhere on the grass!
I'm always down to talk about podcasts (I definitely listen to too many of them), books, or anything that is related to sports and nature!
As an anxious student who's been at universities in different countries for ten years, I've had to learn some good techniques to deal with stress, new environments, and anything related to school or work-life balance. I'm always happy to share, or listen!
