Hi, I'm Deven! I'm a senior from South Lake Tahoe, CA studying Operations Research and Financial Engineering with certificates in Finance, Computer Science, History and the Practice of Diplomacy.
On campus, I am involved in Army ROTC and Club Rugby. My favorite memory from my first year at Princeton is going on tour with the rugby team for spring break. I love to be active and got to spend time with friends without the worry of school. Additionally, I got to meet a-lot of really cool people, so overall just a great experience.
A class that has shaped the way I think is COS 126. I came into Princeton believing I wouldn't like to program or be interested in CS. After taking 126 and enjoying it so much, I decided to pick up a COS minor.
I would consider myself an expert on balancing academic, extracurricular, and social life. I have always believed that finding a good balance between those was really important for a good experience. In particular understanding when it is time to take a step back from one thing and apply myself to another.
I’d like incoming Yeh first-years to try not to stress. College is meant to be an experience you enjoy, and trust me, it all gets figured out in the end.
