Bio/Description

Nice to meet you! I'm Izabela, I'm a senior from Rolling Meadows, Illinois. I'm studying in the department of Politics while pursuing certificates in Medieval Studies, Statistics and Machine Learning, and Values and Public Life.

On campus, I have been a part of SIFP (Scholars Institute Fellows Program) as both a community ambassador and head fellow, a member of Whig Clio, been involved with Disability Collective (DisCo), and a research assistant in the Politics department and Sociology/Population Studies department.

My favorite memory from my first year at Princeton was doing FSI (Freshman Scholars Institute) the summer before my freshman year, since it allowed me to meet the people who would become core to my friend group, along with giving me a community on campus.

POL/CHV 313: Global Justice was a class that shaped the way I think, since it gave me the confidence that I was going to study politics and allowed me to read many big political thinkers. It exposed me to political philosophical thought, which is now a big part of my interests. The class helped teach me how to think through hard texts and apply them to modern issues.

I would say I am an expert on requirements for Social Science majors, getting involved in Social Science research as an undergrad, and getting academic accommodations (both permanent and temporary).

I want incoming Yeh first-years to don't be afraid to try something new and reach out to people you find interesting! One of the best parts of Princeton is the people, so don't be afraid to talk to new people and faculty!
