Bio/Description

Hi, I’m Jeanna! I was born and raised in Brooklyn, NY. I am a junior studying Public and International Affairs (SPIA) with minors in Environmental Studies and Theater.

There are a few organizations I've been involved in during my time at Princeton that I'm fortunate to be a part of! As a Theater minor, I am part of the Black Theater Collective network where I've had an amazing time stage managing several theater and dance shows on campus, diving into a world I never considered until coming to Princeton. As a Sustained Community Engagement Fellow at the Pace Center for Civic Engagement, I train volunteers, create reflection spaces, and collaborate closely with Ben, Geralyn, and Dave. Additionally, I volunteer with WorkWell Partnership through Pace, helping formerly incarcerated individuals reintegrate into society by assisting them with job applications, resume building, and interview preparation.

I've worked with the Employer Engagement team at the Center for Career Development, supporting career fairs, employer events, and workshops for first-year students. I am also a member of the Scholars Institute Fellows Program (SIFP), a vibrant community of first-generation peers, staff, and faculty. As a SIFP fellow, I enjoy monthly mentorship group meetings, co-curricular workshops, and fun extracurricular activities! As an event co-director for JRRCPF Undergraduate Associates, I've helped plan faculty dinners to foster close interactions between undergraduates and professors in their fields of interest. I've also served as a mentor in the JRRCPF mentorship program. In my role as an Office of Campus Engagement Fellow, I help plan Winter session.   Overall, being part of these different teams and communities has made me really appreciate the amazing people and unique spaces on campus!

My favorite memory from my first year at Princeton was my CA experience. Through this amazing experience, I met my closest friends on campus, and we have made the best memories together. In my free time, I absolutely love going to the various dance shows and watching plays created by my talented peers. My favorite spot on campus is Murray Dodge — I adore the cozy atmosphere and can't get enough of the delicious cookies!

If you ever have questions about civic engagement opportunities on campus or need help navigating Handshake, I'm always available to chat about that! I can also connect you with amazing people at the Pace Center for Civic Engagement or the Center for Career Development who can help you further.

I’m super excited for this year and to meet all of you! Don’t hesitate to pull me aside anytime to chat or have a conversation!  It doesn’t have to be about anything serious—it can just be a session to rant. I’m always here to listen!
