Hi, I'm Kate! I'm a junior from Greenwich, CT studying Molecular Biology with a certificate in Cognitive Science.
I am on the Club Ice Hockey team at Princeton and I have made some of my closest friends because of it! I am an Orange Key Tour guide, which I love because it keeps me grateful for being at Princeton. Additionally, I tutor at the McGraw Center as a Computer Science tutor. I am also a class officer of the Pre-Medical society at Princeton, which I love because I get to attend lectures from physicians about their careers and paths and I get to meet other pre-med students at Princeton!
My favorite memory from my first year at Princeton was going to a DC tournament trip with my club ice hockey team in the fall. It was so much fun and I really got to know my teammates much better!
A Princeton class that has shaped the way I think is my freshman seminar which was called virtues and the meaning of life. I absolutely loved the class because it emphasized the importance of "being" instead of just "doing." It is so important to be present in the moment instead of just thinking ahead to the next task that you have to do.
I would say that I am an expert on tutoring and extra help resources here on campus -- as a McGraw tutor myself and an Orange Key guide, I always emphasis to both current students and prospective students the opportunities for extra help that are available for all students on campus.
I am so excited to meet you! Princeton is a phenomenal place and you have so many people in your corner who are rooting for you and will do everything they can to help you succeed!!
