Bio/Description

Hi! I'm Ole, a PhD student in economics. My research mainly focuses on taxes and how they affect people's economic decisions - how much they work, where they choose to live, how much money they save and spend, and many other things. I know that many people think taxes are the most boring thing ever, but I think they are fascinating because they affect almost all economic aspects of our lives even though we don't always think about it, and society wouldn't be able to function without them.

I did my Bachelor's degree at Aarhus University in Denmark and my Master's at the London School of Economics. Though I was born in Denmark, I spent most of my childhood in Germany, so I also speak German quite well.

My favorite places on campus are the C-floor of Firestone Library (the best place to go for peace and quiet), and Prospect Garden - especially in the springtime.

I'm a bit interested in architecture and know a lot of "secret" architectural details like gargoyles and other embellishments on the old buildings around campus. And of course, I'm always happy to answer questions about economics, math and similar things.
