Bio/Description

Hey everyone! I'm Uzair Malik, a senior from Kansas City, Missouri, although my family is originally from Pakistan. My concentration is Electrical & Computer Engineering with certificates in Robotics & Intelligent Systems; Statistics & Machine Learning.

During my time at Princeton, I have actively participated in multiple organizations to develop a community, serve society, and focus on career development. I have been a part of Matriculate, Engineers Without Borders, Rocketry Club, Business Today, Africa Summit at Princeton, and the Muslim Student Association.

My favorite memory from my first year at Princeton was the MSA Fall Banquet. This is where I met fellow Muslim students on campus and developed my long-term friend group!

A class that has shaped the way I think is FRS 187: ACTING Against Oppression, which was my first theatre course and it pushed me outside of my comfort zone. Professor Vivia Font was very understanding and a great instructor. I became comfortable taking risks. During my final performance, I felt Princeton was a new chapter in my life, where I could start from a clean slate. I highly recommend freshmen take advantage of the freshman seminar courses because they are a great way to get acclimated to the academic rigor at Princeton. They tend to be niche and interesting, a great way to explore areas you may not be familiar with.

Beyond academics, I enjoy working out at Dillon and flying RC drones/planes! I absolutely admire anything that flies, whether it be RC planes or spacecraft. I consider myself knowledgeable in different BSE pathways, especially ECE, COS, and MAE.

I am excited to serve as Yeh PAA this year, so please don't hesitate to reach out!
