Bio/Description

Hi! I'm Veronica, a senior from Ambler, PA studying Neuroscience with a certificate in Global Health and Health Policy.

At Princeton, I'm involved with Camp Kesem Princeton, Princeton Neuroscience Network, Alimtas Bioventures, Princeton Undergraduate Research Journal, volunteering at the Princeton Medical Center, and the Princeton University American Sign Language Club.

A favorite memory from my freshman year at Princeton was when my roommate, friends, and I would bake bread and cookies after midterms, finals, and Dean's Date to celebrate! We would start baking at midnight once everyone was done with assignments and would spend the night catching up and playing games.

A Princeton class that has shaped the way I think is LIN 215 American Deaf Culture – A phenomenal class taught by Professor Buchholz! As an ASL student, I gained such a deep appreciation for Deaf culture and history through the class. The professor also created an incredibly welcoming environment and facilitated great seminar discussions about the interesting readings and media we viewed for that week. Deaf history is often an overlooked part of American history, and this class opened my eyes to the long history of Deaf individuals and their activism both internationally and in America. You don't need to know ASL to take this class!

As a pre-medical student and a neuroscience major, I am happy to chat about any questions you may have about these topics! I am also happy to talk about summer internships and how to go about finding on-campus and off-campus research opportunities. Regardless, I'm happy to chat about anything or just listen!

I'm super excited to meet you! Princeton is a wonderful and magical place, but it can also be tough academically, and I'm here to support you, so please feel free to reach out anytime!
